The Neural Geometry Meeting is an interdisciplinary forum at the interface of mathematics, machine learning, and neuroscience. Its organizing premise is that geometric and topological ideas are becoming central to all three fields simultaneously, and not by coincidence. Neural population codes lie on structured low-dimensional manifolds; modern deep learning architectures increasingly exploit symmetry, equivariance, and combinatorial topology; and the brain’s connectivity carries rich graph-theoretic signatures that mathematical tools are only beginning to characterize. Each of these threads illuminates the others.
The series welcomes researchers at all career stages to present their work (whether completed, in progress, or speculative) and encourages the kind of open-ended, cross-disciplinary exchange that single-domain venues rarely afford. Fostering new collaborations across the mathematical, computational, and neuroscientific communities is a central aim.
